Hi, I'm Shannon. My lovely wife Jackie
and I are founders of Bee-A-Star Karaoke here in Janesville Wisconsin. We
have been doing karaoke locally for over eleven years
and we still love to do it. Our main goal is to try our best to make sure
that everyone is having as much fun as possible. We are always looking to
improve our way of karaoke, so if you have any suggestions please feel to
e-mail me with them at
beeastarkaraoke@yahoo.com ( Try to keep them nice and clean. )
Tavern / Bars
Just a quick note about the taverns/bars that we are employed at. First on
our list I have to mention The Cove Bar in Milton. (Take Hwy. 26 from
Janesville, WI. toward Milton and it is off of Hwy 26.) Lori and Jane are the
owners. They are both real sweethearts and a good friends of ours
(Bee-A-Star Karaoke.) We have known and worked for them for over 9 years.
The bar has room for dancing and the bartenders are real friendly. The next
place we play at is Charlie's Place on E. Racine in Janesville. It is a small
bar but let me tell you, they love to have fun. My kind of people. The
bartenders are fun and so are the patrons. The next place we play at is Dj's
Shortstop in Newville (on the lake) Dan and Jen are the new owners. Jackie
and I have known Dan (Stank) for a few years now and we are starting to get
to know Jen and she is a real sweetheart and I can tell you that they will
make great bar owners. Not only go there for good friends, good times (like
karaoke by Bee-A-Star Karaoke) but their fish fry
rocks. Now on to our newest bar and where we are the most. That would be
Road Dawgs Bar and Eatery. It is where the old Country Kitchen use to be
across from where the old Ramada Inn use to be (now is the new Menards
Supercenter) on Milton Ave. in Janesville. The bar is very clean and the
food is awesome. We are booked there every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Whether you want to shoot a game of pool, darts, relax at the bar or shake
you groove thing, come and check it out for yourself. Patty and John are the
owners and are awesome and they also own Patty's Road Dawgs Pub in Beloit on
Milwaukee Rd. right off of I-90. The bartenders and wait staff are really
great and are good at what they do, especially if you happen to get a server
named Steve O'. If you don't see Jackie or myself out there you might see
Ron & Lish or Jamie and Pete. If so, make sure you go up introduce yourself.
They all are really friendly and a good addition to Bee-A-Star Karaoke. So, come out and see us at all of these
locations and experience these taverns for yourself.
Jackie
Jackie is also a beautician here in town at a salon call "Kids Cuts". No,
they don't just do children's hair, they also do adults. She has been
cutting hair about as long as we have been doing karaoke. In her spare time
she loves to spend as much time with our Grandchildren as possible or read a
good novel. She loves to go hiking, camping, swimming, horseback riding, and
going for rides on our motorcycle. ( No this is not a personal add,
Ha/ha...) We just like people to know a little about who we are.
Shannon
Well, a little about me. I too love to spend time with my Grandchildren,
hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, photography and getting out on my
motorcycle. My favorite hobbies is scuba diving and I am a certified Rescue
Diver. I am working on my Master Scuba Diver at the present time. My main
goal in scuba diving is to become an instructor. The scuba shop that I go
through is Forest City Scuba Forest
City Scuba.com in Rockford, IL. (815) 398-7119. They are really good
people who love to dive but at the same time are safe and also love to have
fun. If you decide to go there, tell Instructor Kurt ( one of the best
instructors around ) and Clint (owner) that I said, "Hi". Scuba diving is more fun and exciting
than I ever thought. I've went diving everywhere from Cozumel and Puerto
Vallarta, Mexico, to the
Florida Keys to Lake Superior Wreck Diving. If you have the time you should try it. You won't regret it. If you have any questions about
scuba diving please feel free to e-mail me or call Forest City Scuba store.
Do me a favor though, if you go to Forest City Scuba please tell them that
you seen there phone number here and that I said, "Hi".
So, if you
have any questions about diving please feel free to e-mail me and remember
to always dive safe by diving within your limits, experience and education.
Ron & Lish Davis, Jamie & Heidi
Rudnitzki, Peter Gosda, Big Jim Coke, Erick Kjelland
(New
Bee-A-Star Karaoke Representatives)
Our karaoke family is getting bigger. We now have Ron and Lish
Davis, Jamie and Heidi Rudnitzki, Peter Gosda, Big Jim Coke, and Erick
Kjelland. We have met Ron, Lish and Peter at
Road Dawgs in Janesville a few months ago and now consider them very good
friends. We met Jamie and Heidi at The Cove in Milton and Big Jim and Erick
at Charlie's. If you
do go out to see any of them, please feel free to email me with all the positive
feedback on the good job that they do. They will be working now and then at Road Dawgs
and other various places when Jackie and I have our own gig so check
the schedules for upcoming gigs. They all have the personality, talent, and
knowledge of karaoke to represent Bee-A-Star Karaoke. I have no doubt that
they all will all do an awesome job.
One more thing, if you see Ron or Lish out
doing karaoke and they have a stand in for either of them or if it is
Bee-A-Star Karaoke with someone other than Jackie, or myself that
would be Jamie & Heidi, Pete, Big Jim or Erick. They are our latest members
to Bee-A-Star Karaoke. They are all very nice
and are a great addition to our family. So if you see them out with any of
us, please welcome them to the family.
Just added: Heidi (Jamie's lovely
wife) Representin' Bee-A-Star Karaoke.
Karaoke Meaning:
Karaoke
is a Japanese coined word. Kara means
empty in English, and oke
is a kind of abbreviation of
orchestra. The word karaoke itself means
the songs without vocals.
